Master of Public Administration (MPA) Advisory Board
In order to ensure that the MPA
program curriculum and extracurricular activities effectively prepare
students for a career in public service, our program works closely with an
advisory board which is composed of alumni and other knowledgeable
professionals from around the country. These board members originate from
both the public and non-profit sectors, and include individuals from
aviation and museum related professions.
The various functions of the MPA Advisory Board include: advising the program on curriculum and research matters; engaging in fundraising; and assisting students and faculty make links with government, non-profit and business organizations. The Advisory Board includes an executive committee and a development committee with various other committees formed as needed to carry out the functions and to achieve the purposes of the board.
The MPA staff, faculty, and students meet with the advisory board a minimum of twice a year, once in fall and once in spring.
