Sara M. Hassert, Member

Overview

Sara serves as Deputy Project Manager for the EIS/EIR for the proposed Runway Extension at Gnoss Field Airport, Marin County, California and as Deputy Project Manager for the EA for proposed initiation of commercial regional jet service at Santa Fe Municipal Airport.

Career/Professional Highlights

Sara joined Landrum & Brown in 1999 as an Analyst in the company’s environmental practice and has held a series of progressively more responsible positions. Her aviation management experience is extensive and includes previously serving as Deputy Project Manager for the EA for proposed initiation of commercial regional jet service at Roswell, New Mexico, International Air Center; Project Coordinator for the EIS and Airport Vicinity Land Use Plan for the Proposed Replacement Airport at St. George, Utah; and Project Coordinator for the McCarran International Airport Supplemental EA for a Modification of the Four Corner-Post Plan, Las Vegas, Nevada to name a few. 

Ms. Hassert has also been involved with several community-relations projects for both O’Hare and Midway, as well as Milwaukee County’s General Mitchell International Airport and St. George Municipal Airport, Utah, including development of informational videos for airing on public access television, brochures, and informational kiosks.

Education

Sara is a three-degree graduate from Southern Illinois University.  In 1997, she earned both her Associate of Applied Science-Aviation Flight and Bachelor of Science-Aviation Management.  In 1999, she earned her Master of Public Administration.  In addition to her formal education, she is also a Certified Flight Instructor, Single-Engine Land and holds a Commercial Pilot’s License with Instrument Rating and Multi-Engine Rating.
